Poetry Open Mic Night In-Person
Calling all poets, spoken word artists, lyricists, and songwriters! Welcome to Hicksville Library's unplugged Open Mic Night. Bring your poems, prose, spoken word, lyrics, and songs up to the microphone. This month we're welcoming Dr. Robert Windorf, Flash Fiction Writer, Poet, and English Educator with "Poems from the Heart." As always, our host will be Paula Curci, Nassau County Poet Laureate 2022-2024 Emerita and Lorene Bossong, Editor of the Nassau County Poet Laureate Society Review. You do not have to have a themed poem to share at the mic; all encouraging voices are welcome to join in.
Register to receive an event reminder. Sign up starts on arrival. No abusive, hurtful comments or hate speech, profanity, obscenity, and/or vulgar speech will be permitted. Open to all. This event is brought to by the Nassau County Poet Laureate Paula Curci and is part of her Acoustic Poets Network™ Visitation Project. It is endorsed by the Nassau County Poet Laureate Society.
