Sourdough Starter Workshop In-Person

Dive into the history of fermentation with the Whaling Museum, and learn how it kept whalers fed on long sea voyages. Participants will receive a glass jar to decorate along with sourdough starter, and a recipe booklet to take home with instructions to grow your starter!

Please note there is a $3 non-refundable ingredients fee. Payment can be made with a credit card online when registering or at the Circulation Desk before Tuesday, November 11.  One registration per adult with a valid Hicksville library card.  Only registered adults (ages 18+) will be permitted to stay in the class. Doors close seven (7) minutes after the start of the program - no one will be allowed in the program after that time. By registering for this program, you are automatically agreeing to Hicksville Public Library's Program Disclaimer Form.
